Brief 3:
Diptych

I chose the image,  of a parrot and aligned it to the statement “ The Hen is only the eggs way of making another Hen” by Patrick Hughes due the immediate likeness. Using photo shop I cropped and altered the saturation to make the image more vibrant. Secondly I reversed the image to create a “mirror”.

I then set about taking a picture of an egg against a neutral background as the foundation to the sequence of eggs I wanted to overlay. Each egg required a layer to be created and content aware- lasso tool was used to pull the egg from the raw image. In doing so I have three eggs which allowed me to overlay them if required to add depth and dimension to the image.

Each egg was adjusted ranging from saturation, contrast hue, vibrancy, highlights and shadows. In doing so it provided a form of texture that differed slightly between the eggs. I then set about sizing and placing them, which for what seems to be a simplistic placement too some time in order to achieve my desired outcome. If I were to make improvements I would consider a more abstract approach than the one I have done, potentially with the manipulation of the structure of the Parrot (Hen). I feel that this form of imagery benefits form being more impactful and abstract for the viewer audience.
