So it's the time to choose a specialism, the last two years have significantly broadened my knowledge and understanding of being a "creative". But it still feels a bit overwhelming!
Then it feels confusing...….
What do I choose?
What if I choose wrong?
Will it get the grades
How can I showcase it?
After a fair bit of what if's, I came to realise that I'm being given a " tool box" of skills to use once I leave Uni. Some tools I will be more familiar with than others, some I will naturally feel more comfortable, some I will have to be more persistent with to maintain an acceptable standard or higher.
I came to the conclusion that I'm being measured on a number of factors within the Rubic.
What's my preparation - brief
How do I plan, and understand time pressures
At each step from equipment selection , shot lists, staging, through to post production need to be evidenced and thought through
What are my inspiration and why, how does it make me feel
So, once I looked at it that way it became more clear, I've always wanted to film or take still images... so maybe this is the route I should be taking, at the end of the day having interest or a passion in something is more than a step forward.
So here it is , I'm choosing equipment and cinematography
